Visual Storytelling for Collectors: Designing Carousels for Iron Studios
Working with Iron Studios allowed me to dive deep into the world of collectible statues — not just as products, but as pieces of storytelling. One of my main contributions was designing thematic carousel posts for the brand’s social media, showcasing their impressive licensed collections in a way that resonated deeply with their fanbase.
Thematic Carousels: A Seamless Visual Flow
The task was to take a specific collection — whether Marvel, Disney, TMNT, or Masters of the Universe — and design a carousel that flowed horizontally across multiple slides. Each statue needed to shine on its own, while also being part of a cohesive, immersive composition that felt true to the characters and the universe they belong to.
Connecting with Collectors
These carousels were a hit. Collectors loved seeing their favorite pieces presented in carefully designed layouts that made the collection feel like a universe in itself. It wasn’t just about the statues — it was about belonging to that world, and seeing the characters interact visually through thoughtful design.
Purpose-Driven Design
Creating these posts meant more than making something visually appealing — it was about delivering clarity, narrative, and emotional impact. Each carousel was crafted to maintain strong visual flow, proper hierarchy, and balance, while staying loyal to the source material.
